The objective of this visualization project is to understand the customer behavior patterns over the years when it comes to online shopping. Using analytics and meaningful charts help interpret the numbers into valuable data which will help predicting the future when it comes to sales, inventory management and adapting to ever changing customer needs.

The Data Set used consists of food products sold at an Online Shopping Store. Through the visualization we get to know the highest number of products were sold in the year, the highest number of customers are from which area, which is the most reviewed product, which customer has placed the maximum and minimum order for which product. Through the visualization one can see the highest score of the shopping portal of all the product sales in that year. This helps to determine the product quality and customer service satisfaction of the shopping portal. This signifies the relationship between the rating given by the customers and reviews written by them. World Map visualization help to determine the customer location based on the size of the pie chart and the products ordered based on the colors.
The Data Set used consists of 1060 entries with the parameters: Product id, Product name, User ID, User Name, Date, Time, Year, Month, Day, Location, Review, Score, and Helpfulness.

1. Where in the world are the customers of the online shopping store located?
As it can been seen from the World Map visualization, most customers of the shopping portal lie within the United States. The size of the circles represent the number of customers in that location and the colour of the circles represent the number of products shipped to that location. It can be seen that the bigest circle lies over New York and it compromises of a lot of colors.

2. Which is the highest selling product, who is the most active customer when it come to purchases, which day of the week are most orders placed, in which month are the most orders placed, what is the prime time for most purchases and which location has the most customers?
This is a drill down chart dashboard, where all charts are connected to each other. The highest selling product is Kettle Chips, the most active customer is Betty Dravis, Friday is the most active day for purchases, January is the most selling month, 20:00 pm is the prime time when most customers are active and New York has got the most customers.

3. What are reviews of the customers for the shopping service of the store?
Most of the customers seem to be satisfied with the service of the online shopping portal, it can be seen that the circle representing Good reviews is the largest. It can also be seen that some customers have submitted Bad reviews, this needs to be evaluated based on the products and the service.


4. Over the years, how did the customers respond towards the service and the product?
It can be seen from the visualization that even though the score awarded by the customers for the service was high but the helpfulness they awarded to the products was low.

5. Does the company have higher sale in any particular month?
Here we can see that the different colours represent the different months and thus for determining the company’s sales on a monthly basis needs further drill down. Just by looking at the chart, it is not possible to conclude the result.

6. In which year the store sold the highest number of items?
The highest number of products were sold in the year 2012 with a record of 318 products. These products have been awarded scores and the sum of all the products sold in that year is 1316.

7. In which year the store received the highest rating for all of its sales?
The shopping portal received the highest score of 1316, which is the total of all the scores of the products sold in that year. In the year 2012, the score was recorded as the highest. This can be due to the superior quality and fast delivery of the products sold during that year.

8. In the year 2012, which location has the maximum customers of the online store?
From the chart, it is understood that the highest number of customers are from New York and the second highest number of customers are from California

9. In the year 2012, which customer has placed the maximum orders at the online store?
The customer named – Groovin guy ‘music historian’ has placed the maximum number of orders from North Carolina and has reviews which were awarded helpfulness.

10. In the year 2012, which is the most reviewed product?
The most reviewed product on the shopping portal is the Kettle Chips. It has a total of 135 reviews from the customers.

11. In the year 2012, which are the products having scored the highest ratings along with the total number of reviews?
Through the visualization it can be seen that the orange colour represents the products having a score of 5 which is the maximum. The blue colour represents the score rating of 4. Also for every product the total count of the number of reviews can be seen. This signifies the relationship between the rating given by the customers and reviews written by them.

12. In the year 2012, which products from the online store have bad reviews?
The visualization represents all the products who have been reviewd as Bad. The score awarded to that product helps to determine the quality of the service of that product. The product with the most score in the Bad review category is the McCANN's Instant Irish Oatmeal which is present at the top left corner of the chart.

13. Which is the most sold product of the shopping store?
As it can been the most sold product is the Kettle Chips which has 135 total number of records in the sales database over others

14. In which year kettle chips was recorded having the highest score?
The product was recorded with the highest score of 108 during the year 2009, which determines its maximum sale.

15. On which day of the month the sale of kettle chips is the highest?
The product Kettle Chips is sold the highest on the Saturday, June 2012. The score given being the highest amongst its sale on other days.

16. In which location and at what time Kettle Chips is sold the highest?
The product Kettle Chips has the highest sales in New York at 20.00pm with a high score of 75. This indicates that people in New York love the product.

17. Which customers ordered Kettle Chips more frequently? What was the total score that they gave to the product?
It can be seen from the Visualization that the customer named Jared Castle has placed the maximum orders for the product Kettle Chips and awarded the highest score of 15 as compared to other frequent customers who rate the product with a lower score.

18. What is the reason behind the decrease in sale of the product kettle chips over the year 2012-13?
It can be seen from the Visualization that the customers prefer 19:00pm to 20:00pm ideal for shopping online from the store. In reason behind drastic decrease of the sale of the product could be either the product went out of stock or it might be the dinner and sleeping time for people. Further drill down is required with more supporting data to determine the causes.
